pub struct VarCapability(/* private fields */);
Expand description
Kinds of interactions allowed by a Var<T>
in the current update.
You can get the current capabilities of a var by using the AnyVar::capabilities
method.
Implementations§
source§impl VarCapability
impl VarCapability
sourcepub const NEW: VarCapability = _
pub const NEW: VarCapability = _
Var value can change.
If this is set the AnyVar::is_new
can be true
in some updates, a variable can NEW
even if it cannot MODIFY
, in this case the variable is a read-only wrapper on a read-write variable.
sourcepub const MODIFY: VarCapability = _
pub const MODIFY: VarCapability = _
Var can be modified.
If this is set Var::modify
always returns Ok
, if this is set NEW
is also set.
Note that modify requests from inside overridden animations can still be ignored, see AnyVar::modify_importance
.
sourcepub const CAPS_CHANGE: VarCapability = _
pub const CAPS_CHANGE: VarCapability = _
Var capabilities can change.
Var capabilities can only change in between app updates, just like the var value, but AnyVar::last_update
may not change when capability changes.
source§impl VarCapability
impl VarCapability
sourcepub const fn empty() -> VarCapability
pub const fn empty() -> VarCapability
Get a flags value with all bits unset.
sourcepub const fn all() -> VarCapability
pub const fn all() -> VarCapability
Get a flags value with all known bits set.
sourcepub const fn bits(&self) -> u8
pub const fn bits(&self) -> u8
Get the underlying bits value.
The returned value is exactly the bits set in this flags value.
sourcepub const fn from_bits(bits: u8) -> Option<VarCapability>
pub const fn from_bits(bits: u8) -> Option<VarCapability>
Convert from a bits value.
This method will return None
if any unknown bits are set.
sourcepub const fn from_bits_truncate(bits: u8) -> VarCapability
pub const fn from_bits_truncate(bits: u8) -> VarCapability
Convert from a bits value, unsetting any unknown bits.
sourcepub const fn from_bits_retain(bits: u8) -> VarCapability
pub const fn from_bits_retain(bits: u8) -> VarCapability
Convert from a bits value exactly.
sourcepub fn from_name(name: &str) -> Option<VarCapability>
pub fn from_name(name: &str) -> Option<VarCapability>
Get a flags value with the bits of a flag with the given name set.
This method will return None
if name
is empty or doesn’t
correspond to any named flag.
sourcepub const fn intersects(&self, other: VarCapability) -> bool
pub const fn intersects(&self, other: VarCapability) -> bool
Whether any set bits in a source flags value are also set in a target flags value.
sourcepub const fn contains(&self, other: VarCapability) -> bool
pub const fn contains(&self, other: VarCapability) -> bool
Whether all set bits in a source flags value are also set in a target flags value.
sourcepub fn insert(&mut self, other: VarCapability)
pub fn insert(&mut self, other: VarCapability)
The bitwise or (|
) of the bits in two flags values.
sourcepub fn remove(&mut self, other: VarCapability)
pub fn remove(&mut self, other: VarCapability)
The intersection of a source flags value with the complement of a target flags value (&!
).
This method is not equivalent to self & !other
when other
has unknown bits set.
remove
won’t truncate other
, but the !
operator will.
sourcepub fn toggle(&mut self, other: VarCapability)
pub fn toggle(&mut self, other: VarCapability)
The bitwise exclusive-or (^
) of the bits in two flags values.
sourcepub fn set(&mut self, other: VarCapability, value: bool)
pub fn set(&mut self, other: VarCapability, value: bool)
Call insert
when value
is true
or remove
when value
is false
.
sourcepub const fn intersection(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
pub const fn intersection(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
The bitwise and (&
) of the bits in two flags values.
sourcepub const fn union(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
pub const fn union(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
The bitwise or (|
) of the bits in two flags values.
sourcepub const fn difference(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
pub const fn difference(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
The intersection of a source flags value with the complement of a target flags value (&!
).
This method is not equivalent to self & !other
when other
has unknown bits set.
difference
won’t truncate other
, but the !
operator will.
sourcepub const fn symmetric_difference(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
pub const fn symmetric_difference(self, other: VarCapability) -> VarCapability
The bitwise exclusive-or (^
) of the bits in two flags values.
sourcepub const fn complement(self) -> VarCapability
pub const fn complement(self) -> VarCapability
The bitwise negation (!
) of the bits in a flags value, truncating the result.
source§impl VarCapability
impl VarCapability
sourcepub const fn iter(&self) -> Iter<VarCapability>
pub const fn iter(&self) -> Iter<VarCapability>
Yield a set of contained flags values.
Each yielded flags value will correspond to a defined named flag. Any unknown bits will be yielded together as a final flags value.
sourcepub const fn iter_names(&self) -> IterNames<VarCapability>
pub const fn iter_names(&self) -> IterNames<VarCapability>
Yield a set of contained named flags values.
This method is like iter
, except only yields bits in contained named flags.
Any unknown bits, or bits not corresponding to a contained flag will not be yielded.
source§impl VarCapability
impl VarCapability
sourcepub fn as_read_only(self) -> VarCapability
pub fn as_read_only(self) -> VarCapability
Remove only the MODIFY
flag without removing NEW
.
sourcepub fn is_always_read_only(self) -> bool
pub fn is_always_read_only(self) -> bool
If cannot MODIFY
and is not CAPS_CHANGE
.
sourcepub fn is_always_static(self) -> bool
pub fn is_always_static(self) -> bool
If cannot NEW
and is not CAPS_CHANGE
.
sourcepub fn can_modify(self) -> bool
pub fn can_modify(self) -> bool
Has the MODIFY
capability.
